Inland Empire gas price drops for 28th consecutive day
Average price for a gallon of regular unleaded now at $3.97
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire decreased today for the 28th consecutive day, falling 1 cent to $3.967, its lowest amount since Aug. 9.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has decreased 72.1 cents over the past 28 days, including 2.1 cents on Sunday, after rising 52.4 cents over the previous six days to a record high of $4.688 on Oct. 8, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 18.3 cents less than one week ago and 51.2 cents lower than one month ago but 12.6 cents higher than one year ago. It fell under $4 for the first time since Aug. 10 on Saturday.
