Inland Empire average gas price rises for 13th consecutive day
Average gas price at highest level since October 31st
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose today to its highest amount since Oct. 31, increasing 1.1 cents to $4.118.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has increased 13 consecutive days, rising 40.2 cents over that span, including 2.1 cents on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 15.9 cents more than one week ago, 47.9 cents higher than one month ago and 31.2 cents greater than one year ago.
The rising prices are the result of low levels of production in Southern California stemming from refinery maintenance, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
