UC administrators say new logo shows better on phones, computers

SAN FRANCISCO -

U-C. That's the reaction a lot of folks have after seeing the new University of California logo. It's a yellow, faded "C'' inside a blue, book-shaped "U."

More than 45,000 people have signed an online petition calling for the new logo to be scrapped.

UC administrators say their old-school logo had too many details and didn't look good on websites or smartphones.
