Art Camp for kids runs in La Quinta

Event in Old Town offers activities for kids out of school for holiday vacation

LA QUINTA, Calif. -

Parents and grandparents looking to keep children occupied while school is out can enroll them in a "Holiday Kids Camp" at a La  Quinta art studio starting today.
      Old Town Artisan Studio is offering two hour-long classes today, Friday  and Saturday. Classes will be conducted from 10 a.m. until noon and from 1 to 3  p.m. and are open to children of all ages, according to studio Executive  Director Louise Cummings.
      The studio gives classes in clay, pottery and glass. The cost is $20 per  class per child. The fees help fund classes offered to local underserved youth.
