Celina Avila co-anchors News Channel 3 in the Morning and News Channel 3 at Noon.

Celina came to the Coachella Valley from El Paso, Texas.

The El Paso-native left home after a decade-long career in broadcasting. She worked for KESQ's sister station KVIA-TV as the 4 p.m. news anchor and evening reporter.

While living near the U.S./Mexico border, Celina's reporting included in-depth coverage of public corruption, immigration issues and surge in crime in Mexico.

Celina began her career shortly before graduating from New Mexico State University, when she became a reporter and weekend anchor at KTSM-TV, the NBC affiliate in El Paso.

After two years, KVIA-TV, the ABC affiliate hired her away from the competition.

When you don't see her bright and early on News Channel 3 in the Morning and on News Channel 3 at Noon, she's somewhere exploring her new home in Southern California.

Celina lives in Riverside with her family.
