KUNA-TV News Anchor
Gabriela Quezada has anchored KUNA-TV News at 6 and 11 p.m. since 2002.
Gabriela has worked in the Spanish language television industry for more than 13 years as a writer, producer and host.
She began her career in print media as a writer for Latin Publications in Los Angeles.
Her lifestyle and fashion stories were also published in Spanish language newspapers in San Diego, Las Vegas, Orange County and Fresno.
Gabriela lived in Tijuana BC, Mexico for five years where she had the opportunity to work with Arte Publicidad and the city's newspaper. In 1997, while in Mexico City, she received a call requesting her to write, produce and host lifestyle and fashion segments for KUNA-TV, Telemundo. That brought Gabriela back to the Coachella Valley.
She was on the air from 1997 to 2000 while also working as a Spanish producer for Dichotomy Films in Los Angeles. Gabriela has been on special production assignments to New York, Miami, San Jose and Los Angeles. Gabriela also worked at KJLA-TV where she was hosting an hour live show from their West Los Angeles studios.
Gabriela has also served as emcee for the Coachella Valley Mexican American Chamber of Commerce and the city of Palm Springs during their first bilingual award presentation.
When Gabriela is not working she enjoys reading, playing the piano, listening to Mariachi, Boleros, Hip Hop, Reggie-ton, French and Latin Pop music.
Gabriela speaks and writes fluent Spanish and English and dominates French. According to Gabriela, her greatest accomplishment has been caring for her mother since being diagnosed with kidney failure.
