Angelo Caruso is the newest member of the News Channel 3 Sports Team and can be seen anchoring sportscasts on the weekends and reporting during the week.  He is committed to delivering the best local coverage the Coachella Valley deserves.

Before arriving in the desert, Angelo stayed in the southeast with stints in Columbus, GA (WTVM) and Gainesville, FL (WCJB). He covered Alabama's first BCS National Championship under head coach Nick Saban, Urban Meyer's second resignation at UF, and the Gators' improbable BCS Sugar Bowl berth in 2012. Gainesville offered an interesting juxtaposition for Angelo; while it was a blast extensively covering the Florida Gators in the heart of Gator Nation, deep down he bled Garnet and Gold.

Angelo graduated with a degree in Communications at UF's bitter in-state rival, Florida State University. During his time at FSU, Angelo worked as a student reporter for Seminole Productions and had stories air on FSN Florida and Sun Sports. He originally majored in acting, but changed his major once he discovered he was better at playing himself, and the rest is history!

Angelo grew up in West Palm Beach, FL and is excited to make the near-3,000 mile trip out west and call California his new home. During his free time, you'll find him playing basketball, racquetball, and even doing a little country line dancing!

On a personal note, Angelo is proud to say he's a cancer survivor and looks forward to being involved with the ACS and spreading awareness of colon cancer.

He's always interested in meeting new people, so if you see him shooting a sporting event, walking down the street, or two-stepping on the dance floor, feel free to say hello!  He believes everyone has a story to tell, so if you have any story ideas email him at You can also follow him on Twitter and Facebook.
