Hiker Found Dead After Search
A 24-year-old Hemet man dies in the Santa Rosa Hills
Authorities found an ill hiker dead in the hills south of Hemet early Friday morning.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said 24-year-old Vladislav Lesnik was hiking with a friend in the Santa Rosa Hills on Thursday when he fell sick.
Lesnik's friend went for help, but was unable to lead rescue crews back to where he had left Lesnik, according to the sheriff's department.
Authorities located Lesnik's body on a mountainside, on the trails in Simpson Park at 7:30 the next morning.
An autopsy is now pending but authorities say foul play is not suspected.
