A Palm Springs nudist resort will be re-opening this weekend.

The world famous Desert Shadow Resort will re-open Friday with new owners and a new name.

The new owners bought the resort at an auction on April 8th and will rename it The Desert Sun Resort.

The former owners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year.

Employees at the resort say folks with reservations are being notified about the changes.

The resort got a lot of attention when it opened a nudist bridge over Indian Canyon Drive in Palm Springs allowing people to walk from one part of the resort to the other au natural.
