Concertgoers waiting to leave the Valley after the Coachella Fest this past weekend are still waiting.
Dozens of fans, in fact, packed Indio's Greyhound bus station Monday, and many have waited as long as six hours for delayed buses.
The would-be travelers waited in a long line in front of the station -- some camping out under the terminal's awning with coolers full of food and drink left over from the festival -- to keep hydrated in the 90-degree weather.
Some may be missing connecting rides home in Los Angeles.
"I've been been waiting to get to L.A. for like six hours. My ticket says 8:30 a.m., but that didn't happen." said Travis Taylor who came to the festival from Saskatchewan, Canada. "I hoped for the 10:10, and now I might get on the 2:25. Hey, it's worth it just to have seen Rage Against the Machine."
Ellie Parslow who traveled to Coachella Fest from Scotland said bus officials told her there was a back-up and they were trying to bring in more buses from Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
"We had tickets for the 10:10 bus and have been waiting ever since. We've met a lot of cool people though."
The bus station's manager Jarvis Bailey said the reason for the back up was because of a lot of travelers who did not plan ahead.
"Most of these kids are are just showing up without tickets," Bailey said. "It was a lot worse last year, but we're prepared. We've been open 24 hours and we have additional buses coming from Phoenix and Los Angeles."
Bailey said buses were arriving about every 45 minutes.
