Authorities Wednesday identified the 38-year-old Oxnard man killed in a car crash on I-10 Monday.

Police say Christopher Brian Cummings was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

That crash happened just after 1 PM Monday afternoon eastbound on Interstate 10, just East of Cook Street, when his Ford Mustang slammed into the back of a parked semi-truck.

Witnesses say the man was driving erratically and then crashed into the back of a truck that was stopped on the road's shoulder because of engine problems.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
