MENIFEE - A Palm Springs woman died Sunday when her SUV crashed into a tree in Menifee, according to the coroner.
Judith Septimus, 76, was driving on the 215 Freeway at Scott Road about 8:30 a.m. when her SUV went off an off ramp and struck a tree, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department coroner.
She died of her injuries at Menifee Valley Medical Center, according to the coroner.
The crash may have been connected to the crash of a Chevy Cavalier that flipped over at the same location and caught fire around the same time, according to the sheriff's department.
