Murder Suspect Waits Longer For Extradition Hearing

Posted:

FORT LAUDERDALE - The man accused in a 1981 triple murder in Rancho Mirage appeared in a Florida courtroom Friday for a hearing on whether he should be returned to the Coachella Valley to face charges.

The hearing was postponed until December 3rd.

Fifty-two year-old Jimmy Hughes was arrested in September boarding a plane.

He's accused of killing a tribal leader for the Cabazon band of Mission Indians and 2 others in a plot to cover up the alleged mismanagement of tribal funds by the non-indian founder of the tribe's casino.
