PINYON CREST - One person is dead after a rollover crash on Highway 74 Sunday night.

The California Highway Patrol says one vehicle rolled over just west of Carrizo Road at 7:50 p.m.

The vehicle landed twenty feet off the road, on top of rocks and bushes.

Five people were in the vehicle at the time. The Riverside County Fire Department says one person died in that wreck, three suffered critical injuries, and one person suffered moderate injuries. One person had to be airlifted to the hospital, while the others were transported by ambulance.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
