MORENO VALLEY - A magnitude-3.3 earthquake was recorded by the U.S. Geological Survey east of Moreno Valley, according to a preliminary reading.
The quake, centered 10 miles east of Moreno Valley, or 69 miles east of Los Angeles, was recorded at 11:54 p.m. Saturday, according to the USGS.
Earthquakes in the magnitude-3 range are strong enough to be felt but rarely damage buildings.
