THERMAL - The sixth annual Jacqueline Cochran Air Show starts Saturday at the regional airport in Thermal.

Organizers are expecting 35,000 spectators this year, with the air show including about a dozen aircrafts.

The Viper West Demo Team will have a half-hour show using F-16 fighter jets. The team based out of Utah does 30 shows a year, and they rehearse twice a week.

The airshow is free, opening ceremonies are scheduled for 9:30am Saturday.

Afterward, a fly-by will be done to honor the late Riverside County Supervisor Roy Wilson, who died in august.
