PALM DESERT - Officials broke ground at the El Paseo Village in Palm Desert, and there are plans to open some new stores-- at the Gardens on El Paseo.

According to the company's press release, signed retail stores include: Juicy Couture, Banana Republic, Kate Spade, Bebe, Lucky Brand Jeans, Janie & Jack and Mastro's Steakhouse.

The shopping site, "El Paseo Village," is located on the south side of El Paseo between San Pablo and Lupine, adjacent to The Gardens on El Paseo, and will feature 41,000 square feet of shopping space.

Construction is said to be on track for opening in the Fall of 2010.

In addition, The Gardens on El Paseo welcomes Eileen Fisher in November and Louis Vuitton in spring 2010. Located on El Paseo next to Coach, Eileen Fisher brings her timeless design and elegant fabrics to the desert.

Adjacent to Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton will carry not only their signature luxury leather goods, but also their full line of accessories for both men and women. Meanwhile, Banana Republic will relocate to the space previously occupied by J.Jill before moving across the street to El Paseo Village next fall.
