SAN DIEGO - A magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck Sunday in Baja California, but no injuries or damage were immediately reported in the San Diego area.
The earthquake struck at 8:15 p.m. about 11 miles west of Mexicali and 80 miles east of Tijuana, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
"We have no reports of any kind of occurrences due to an earthquake at this time," said Sgt. David Jennings of the San Diego Police Department.
