CATHEDRAL CITY - News Channel 3 has learned one of the victims in Thursday's shooting was a Palm Desert resident, the other was from the Northridge area of Los Angeles.  A Cathedral City Police Official told News Channel 3 after review of the security camera video footage from inside the office, the shooting from beginning to end only last five seconds.  Very few other details are being released, including the victims' names, which are being held by police.

The two were pronounced dead after a shooting inside a Cathedral City car rental business, Thursday morning.  It happened at the Luxury Rent A Car near the intersection of Cathedral Canyon and East Palm Canyon Drive.

We're told four men were in a meeting when an argument broke out.

"During the meeting, apparently there was some type of a falling-out," he said. "One of the men left the meeting."

The lieutenant said that man came back with a gun, shot one of his partners, who died instantly, and shot another man twice before turning the gun on himself.
