Crews Battle Wildfire Near Idyllwild

IDYLLWILD, Calif. -

Firefighters with the U.S. Forest Service and Cal Fire were battling a brush fire near Idyllwild on Wednesday.

At 3:45 p.m., crews reported the fire had scorched one-quarter of an acre of Toro Peak, which is located off of Santa Rosa Road and Highway 74 in Riverside County.

News Channel 3 viewers reported seeing smoke coming from the area and aircraft dropping water on the fire.

There's no word on containment or how quickly the fire may be spreading.
