Two months ago, a housekeeper in La Quinta found Judy Munson, 70, dead in her home.
At first, authorities ruled her death accidental, because it looked like Munson had fallen on her own and hit her head.
But an autopsy has revealed she was murdered, and now two arrests have been made in this case -- one of the suspects being her older brother.
The La Quinta Police have not yet established a motive.
At around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Wesley Gibbs, 46, of Hesperia, Calif., was arrested in San Bernardino County on suspicion of taking part in the killing of Munson.
News Channel 3 sat down with Munson last year for a report on older women opting for plastic surgery to remain competitive in the workplace.
"I'm hoping they see a middle-aged to older lady that is still eager to work and wants to do a good job for them," said Munson at the time.
Police believe Gibbs was the accomplice of James Oudin, 73, who was arrested less than 24 hours later in Lakewood, Calif.
Police also confirm that Oudin is Munson's brother.
"It's sad, of course, I mean family (is) supposed to support each other, rather than killing her," said Hala Shakrr, Munson's neighbor.
Authorities are no longer calling what happened on June 11 an accident, because an autopsy revealed Munson suffered severe blunt trauma to the front of her head -- possibly by a hammer.
Munson's housekeeper found her dead on the floor at her home on the 48-100 block of Via Hermosa in the Laguna De La Paz community.
Police said her death was staged to look like she fell on her own, but further investigation pointed to murder.
"When they told me, I didn't believe it," said Shakrr. "I was really worried, because she's like two houses from where I live."
Munson owned a janitorial service company in Los Angeles.
News Channel 3 interviewed her last May, and at the time, she told us that she was worth well over a $1,000,000.
"You tell me right now that it was her brother -- it's really scary," said Shakrr.
Both suspects were arrested without incident and booked at the Riverside County Jail in Indio for homicide.
No arraignment date has been set.
